1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ScoreDrop ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScoreDrop provides a leaderboard API for game developers. The Service allows you to:

• Create and manage leaderboards
• Submit and retrieve player scores via API
• View leaderboards through public web pages
• Upgrade your plan through PayPal donations

3. Account Responsibility

When you create a leaderboard, you are responsible for:

• Keeping your API key confidential
• All activities that occur under your leaderboard
• Not sharing your private leaderboard URL with unauthorized parties
• The content you submit (player names, scores)

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your leaderboard.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights
• Submit offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service for violations of these terms.

5. Plans and Payments

5.1 Free Plan

• 20 maximum scores
• No delete functionality
• 30 requests per minute rate limit

5.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans are available through voluntary donations via PayPal:

• Basic ($5 donation): 50 scores, 1 delete/day
• Pro ($20 donation): 100 scores, 5 deletes/day, bulk delete (1/month)
• Unlimited ($50+ donation): 500 scores, unlimited deletes

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store payment information. All donations are final and non-refundable.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ScoreDrop and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. User Content

You retain all rights to the scores and player names you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a license to store and display it as part of the Service. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit such content.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

• Free leaderboards without scores are automatically deleted after 60 days
• API request logs are deleted after 30 days
• Delete logs are kept for 90 days
• You may delete your scores at any time via the API (paid plans) or by contacting us

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ScoreDrop be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScoreDrop from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable international and local laws.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Donations

ScoreDrop is supported by voluntary donations. All donations are:

• Non-refundable - They support ongoing development
• Final - No cancellation once processed
• Appreciated - Every donation helps us grow
